Are you committed to being "on fire" for Christ? Have you looked for a place to associate with youth who strive to practice true holiness, but perhaps not been able to find one? Do you wonder if anyone shares your desire to stand for Christ in a darkened world? If so, the YCLA is for you!
We believe true leadership grows out of integrity, humility, and servanthood, as Christ taught (for example, in Matthew 23:11-12). We as youth need to have godly Biblical examples. We also need training to be examples to others. Members of the YCLA learn leadership and character skills for life, and strengthen each other in putting these skills into practice in a context of Godly oversight and purpose. Leadership is worth nothing if there is nothing to lead for. Our objective is to prepare youth for leadership by providing opportunity, experience, motivation, and a foundation of Biblical training.
We hold clear beliefs and doctrine centered on God's Word. Our emphasis is on the teachings of Jesus Christ as primary - "that in all things He might have the preeminence." (Colossians 1:18) We also emphasize the victory available to the believer as he walks in the Spirit of love. As we grow in Christ, we grow together as members of His body, encouraging and edifying each other in Him as we find His grace sufficient for every need.
God is bringing the reformation movement into shape to awaken and revive His people. This reformation proclaims the complete authority of God's Word. It emphasizes the power of God to save from sin and transform lives, affecting all aspects of a culture. Proponents of the new reformation hold that Scripture is true in relation to every field: science, politics, education, and more. This idea of Biblical supremacy is well-described by the term "Biblical worldview."
A worldview is a way of looking at the world. If we hold to the truth of Scripture, we will look at the world with the understanding that Christ is the Creator. We will see that God has a purpose in our lives. We will also see that when we continue to trust Him, He gives us power to live for Him! (Romans 1:16)
See more about the Biblical worldview here.
How can we see change? What can we do to turn others back to Biblical authority? While God is at work, we must recognize that the "rulers of the darkness of this world" (Ephesians. 6:12) are continuing to grow in power and influence. They will only be finally defeated by Jesus Christ Himself.
Thus, it must be emphasized that "the weapons of our warfare are not carnal [fleshly], but mighty through God." (II Corinthians 10:4) In order to win this war of our age, it is imperative that we show Christ's love to all, exemplify His humble, gracious Spirit throughout our work, and be in consistent prayer and Scriptural study.
On an individual level, we should lead others to be servants of Christ. God can use each of us to powerfully proclaim His truth. We must endeavor to live, and train others to live, as Christ's witnesses. We also should work to support organizations which "turn many to righteousness" (Daniel 12:3) and promote Biblical values. It is not enough to know the right things; we each need to be active in doing them!
The YCLA partners with local churches, apologetics organizations, resource centers, freedom groups, and others, to see the new reformation come into fullness.

It is our goal to affirm and encourage the Biblical worldview in as many ways as God may make available to us. Current YCLA strategy includes:
prayer, fasting, and Bible reading,
distribution of literature and DVDs,
volunteer political lobbying on issues of moral importance.
At the core of our mission, we wish to be examples of Christ (I Timothy 4:12). We want to befriend and serve others in our daily lives. Our members encourage each other to always show Christ?s love and walk in His Spirit. It is our view that true leadership and character are only brought about through a humble, serving attitude, and a committed trust in God, our great Creator.
Thank you for visiting the YCLA homepage. You can get involved today in upholding Biblical principles through our group! Even more importantly, please pray for us, that God will give us wisdom and courage in this work.
